For over 40 years, LivGM has specialised in the service and repair of garden machinery ranging from small, handheld tools to lawn tractors and robotic mowers. Catering for both commercial businesses who depend on our committed service and domestic, home gardeners who value our experience.
Originally started by Andrew Davidson, Livingston Garden Machinery operated from Murieston farmhouse serving a customer base across the Lothians.
In 2007 Andrew sold the business to Leslie and Rachel Weatherup and the LivGM showroom and workshop opened from our current location within Williamson's Garden Centre.
Having worked as a design engineer for Caterpillar, Leslie places a strong emphasis on stocking & selling well designed machinery that can be maintained, last the test of time and therefore have a reduced carbon footprint over cheaper ‘use & throw away’ products.
In 2010 LivGM became authorised dealers for John Deere Homeowner equipment and then added Stihl Products in 2012 whilst continuing to be a dealer for Husqvarna. These core brands fit within our policy to sell & support good quality machinery that offers reliability and value to the customer at the same time as being a pleasure to use.
2021 saw a new development for LivGM as we started distributing Logosol Band Sawmills and Chainsaw mills across the North of England, Southern and Central Scotland. It has been an exciting journey so far getting to know the Logosol community both locally and further afield.
Logosol is a Swedish based international company developing and selling unique machines for wood processing and woodworking. Their products are known for simplicity of design, reliability, and efficiency. Their most renowned product is the Logosol Sawmill, this invention is the world’s most popular portable sawmill… perfect to use with a Stihl or Husqvarna chainsaw!
